On the evening of Wednesday, November 13, Olivet University Riverside’s main campus hosted guest preacher Pastor Kevin Watson during the Chapel service. His inspiring message, titled “Holiness," drew from Isaiah 6:1-8 and urged attendees to reflect on the majesty and purity of God, calling them to revere and pursue a life set apart for Him.
Olivet University has donated over 1,000 new bento lunchboxes to local families and residents in collaboration with Anza Electric Cooperative. This initiative aims to provide a practical, reusable option for community members to take meals on the go, whether for work, school, or events.
This past weekend, Olivet University (OU) students joined the annual Michelle’s Place Cancer Walk, participating alongside Anza community members to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer patients during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. OU is a proud sponsor and a second-time participant in this Cancer Walk, underscoring the institution's commitment to supporting local initiatives.

In a spirit-filled gathering, Olivet University (OU) students were warmly welcomed as they performed at the local Praise Night in Anza. Organized by Pastor Kevin Watson from Living Hope Christian Fellowship, the quarterly event brought together congregations from all local churches for an evening of praise, prayer, and community support.
From September 22-28, 2024, representatives from Olivet University participated in the Fourth Lausanne Congress in Seoul-Incheon, South Korea. This pivotal gathering brought together evangelical leaders from around the world to address the pressing challenges and opportunities in fulfilling the Great Commission.
Dr. Nathanael Tran, Chairman of Olivet University, was officially sworn in as the newest member of the Anza Municipal Advisory Council (MAC) during the council’s meeting this week. The ceremony took place on September 18, where Melissa Morfin, Assistant to the Board of Supervisors, administered the oath of office, welcoming Dr. Tran to the five-member board.
On September 20, 2024, Olivet University held convocation ceremonies across its campuses, marking the beginning of the 2024-2025 academic year with a dedication to God. Each ceremony, filled with worship, prayer, and inspiring messages, underscored the institution's commitment to its mission of biblical higher education.
Dr. Jamie Pan, a new graduate from the Zinzendorf School of Doctoral Studies, wrote a dissertation titled "Fostering a Passion for Building Godly Character: Integrating the Experiential Approach with an Emphasis on Drama Method." She shares her reflection with thankfulness and hope.
Olivet Theological College & Seminary (OTCS) hosted a Faculty Development Retreat at its San Francisco (Mill Valley) campus this summer. The retreat centered on enhancing courses, exploring collaborative projects, and providing professional development opportunities for faculty members.
Dr. Jonathan Park, newly inaugurated as President of Olivet University, delivered the commencement address during the combined Investiture and Graduation Ceremony of 2024. In his address to the graduating class, Dr. Park encouraged them not to settle for the status quo but to venture into the world as agents of positive change.

Graduating undergraduate and graduate students gathered with their friends, family, faculty members, and community members to celebrate this significant milestone. The occasion was made even more memorable as it marked the 20th anniversary of Olivet University opening its doors.
Dr. Joan Carter, dean of Olivet School of Art and Design, was recently honored with the dedication of a namesake library, commemorating her profound contributions to arts education. Her lifelong dedication to exploring the intersection of art and Christian faith has not only impacted Olivet University but has also inspired a new generation of Christian artists

Several times in the Psalms we find the admonition to "sing a new song." As worship leaders and church musicians this should immediately get our attention. We are always looking for a new song to learn and then teach to our congregations.
Jubilee College of Music San Francisco held its quarterly recital just before Christmas break. Thirteen students and their instructor Alice Kubo performed piano music by Beethoven, Chopin, Tchaikovsky, and other famous composers.
Christian musicians are always looking for scripture verses that mention music and singing. These verses guide us in our song selection and deepen our understanding of how to lead others in worship.
Students at Jubilee College of Music, JCM, recently held an online meeting with the dean of the school Dr. Merril Smoak. Though students were not able to take in-person classes for several quarters, the meeting united their hearts together once again as they came to share the word of God and receive encouragement.
The conducting class offered by Jubilee College of Music this Winter trains music students to be excellent choir directors.
The graduation concert is the most important requirement of the Master of Arts in Music program at Jubilee College of Music (JCM). Graduate students typically spend the very last three quarters of their study preparing for it. In the Fall quarter, senior student Joy Song will be ready to present her graduation concert.
