OCAD opened its Fall Semester’s student gallery show for 2005. Students showcased works from last and this semester, ranging from layout designs, charcoal drawings to digital imagery. Fellow students chatted away the evening with critiques and comments on the displayed artworks. The event was free and open to all student and staff.
Viewers previewed upcoming student projects with glimpses of conceptual art and designs for senior’s final projects. Students showcased foundations work with head portrait drawings and gesture sketches. The other works included photo imagery, advertisement designs, and brochure layouts from the graphic design courses.
All students became more cognizant of their own artistic ability as well as that of their peers. As midterms passed and Finals approaching, expect greater works for the Spring semester’s Student gallery show.
