Jubilee College of Music (JCM) held its first class on Monday at the San Francisco, CA main campus. This is a significant year for JCM, with many plans to reform and remodel the Christian music curriculum to match the growing trends of CCM and its influence on worship music in the church.

Friday, September 09, 2005 - A special inauguration ceremony marked the official opening of Olivet University's new Student Union building, located two blocks away from Olivet University's main campus in downtown San Francisco.
Olivet University kicked off the academic year on August 30 with Opening Convocation 2005, held at the school's on-campus chapel, located in downtown San Francisco. Over 100 guests attended the event, representing administrators, faculty members and students from all five colleges of Olivet University.
On August 27 at 11 a.m., the anticipated visit by Dr. Ralph Winter finally took place as he made an entrance to Olivet University Chapel, accompanied by Olivet University President Dr. David Jang, who introduced the founder and chairman of USCWM to more than 100 faculty, staff, and students gathered.

Olivet University employees generally receive from 12 to 15 holidays each year. The state legislature determines the number of holidays, and the Olivet University Board of Directors approves the specific days based on the recommendations of the University President.

Students of Jubilee College of Music attended several Christian music festivals this summer, notably Creation Festival West Coast in George, Washington, and Spirit West Coast in Monterey, California.
Dedicated to equip tomorrow's pastors and ministers with greater knowledge to confront the challenges of the church today, Olivet University will place its effort in compiling greater resources for students and faculties. For the coming fall semester, the top priorities include pastoral resources and training materials.
