Students from Olivet University joined community members from Idyllwild, Hemet, Anza, and surrounding mountain areas for a dynamic Earth Day event hosted by Pathfinder Ranch in Mountain Center, California. The gathering provided Olivet students with an opportunity to actively support environmental outreach while engaging with local families through service and education.
Olivet University’s extension site in Washington, D.C. will offer two courses for the Spring 2026 term: Old Testament III and Pastoral Ministry, providing students with both biblical depth and practical ministry training.

Olivet University (OU) joyfully celebrated its 22nd Anniversary on March 3, 2026, following the successful conclusion of the Global Christian Education Summit (GCES).
By the grace of God, the Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE) announced after the 2026 Annual Meeting that Olivet University is in good standing.
Students from Olivet University Riverside recently traveled to Pathfinder Ranch in Mountain Center to volunteer at a local nonprofit, marking a meaningful expansion of the university’s public outreach efforts beyond Anza, California.
Olivet University Riverside campus welcomed Pastor Matthew Nevills, Senior Pastor of Anza Baptist Church, as the guest speaker for its Wednesday service. Nevills preached from Philemon 1:17 to 22 and delivered a message titled “The Lord Is Teaching and Training Us to Become Good Slaves.”
Olivet University students and guests gathered this week to hear from Dr. Nathan Adams, a former leading counsel for the Christian Legal Society. With extensive experience practicing before federal courts across the country, Dr. Adams offered an encouraging reflection on faith, calling, and professional service.
After a brief hiatus, the Anza Community Thanksgiving Dinner made a joyful return in 2025, bringing together nearly 200 local residents for a warm holiday meal served at the Anza Community Hall. The revived tradition was made possible by a dedicated group of volunteers, including members of Living Hope Christian Fellowship and students and staff from Olivet University Riverside.
Olivet University’s Riverside campus welcomed Pastor Bob Reece of Anza Baptist Church as the special guest speaker for its monthly Sermon Series during Wednesday’s chapel service. Preaching from 1 Corinthians 1:24–29, Pastor Reece delivered a message titled “The Person That God Uses,” centering on the extraordinary ways God works through individuals whom the world may overlook. He reminded the congregation that God’s resources, knowledge, and vision far surpass human understanding, allowing Him to use anyone wholly surrendered to His purposes.
Olivet University welcomed the Valley Gospel Chapel community to campus on Wednesday as part of its ongoing Chapel Sermon Series, creating a vibrant evening of worship, Scripture, and fellowship. Students, faculty, and the visiting youth group gathered in the university chapel, where Olivet’s student worship team opened the service with praise music.
Olivet University is pleased to support the Anza Valley community through a recent donation of more than 700 children’s books to the Friends of Anza Library, a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening the Anza Valley Community Library.
The call to repentance in the New Testament reveals the transformative power of the cross, the moment in which humanity becomes aware that it has resisted and rejected divine love as revealed in Christ. Repentance, in this context, is not merely an ethical correction or moral reform but a profound recognition of humanity’s participation in the suffering and rejection of the incarnate Word. Yet within this recognition, divine mercy is disclosed. The site of ultimate sin becomes the locus of ultimate grace, as the reality of human estrangement is met by the unmerited compassion of God.
