New Student Orientation Information

March 16, 2005

Olivet's Student Orientation provides new students with an introduction to the unique educational experience at Olivet University, and assists with the transition to the University community. This year Olivet has enhanced the orientation with an online component made up of intentional programming designed to integrate students into the unique spiritual, intellectual and social environment available to everyone at Olivet.

Some of the goals of this year's orientation are:

  • To provide information and expose students to University services
  • To help students understand general expectations
  • To welcome students and assist them in understanding the mission of Olivet University, including the values and strong sense of community

Featured topics also include an introduction to the Olivet curriculum, student services, and University activities.

Orientation services are available to all new and continuing students through the MyOlivet student pages.

Academic placement testing, which allows students to select courses appropriate to their proficiencies, also will begin during orientation week.
