Students of Jubilee College of Music in San Francisco California are filling the rehearsal and practice rooms throughout this summer in preparation for the Fall Convocation Concert on August 26th. Hosted by upper classmen of the music program, the concert aims to show the incoming class and their families the activities and vision of Jubilee College of Music.
In development are several performances by Jubilee College ensembles, consisting of bands of various sizes and arrangements, and choral and solo vocals. Through Spring 2005's Worship Technology course taught by Dr. Fugate, students are collectively preparing an inspirational video to show the impact of Christian music for the world. Lastly, a message of encouragement and faith will be delivered by a select faculty member.
This concert will kick-off the Fall 2005 semester. This upcoming semester has the largest incoming class to the San Francisco campus. In a collaborative effort, faculty and students want to make this semester comfortable and valuable for the incoming class. In reflection of the Word of God written in Genesis 25: 23, "The older will server the younger", Jubilee College students and faculty aim to serve the younger class. This is the image of the Gospel, and is the distinguishing point which highlights this college.
