For two days key administrators, faculty and staff from Olivet University will meet to review lessons from the previous academic year and decide on goals and plans for the next. Far from any distractions, the gathering is also intended to be a time for spiritual renewal and community formation, according to the event's organizers.
Olivet University President David Randolph, who is participating in the planning process, will preside over the meeting in consultation with Dr. William L. Wagner, Dean of Olivet Theological College & Seminary. Around 30 people—including representatives from each academic program and administrative division of the University—are expected to attend the annual meeting.
Participants will enjoy worship service, designated times for prayer and fellowship, in addition to presentations and focused discussions about a range of topics. Representatives from the University's academic and operations divisions are scheduled to give a series of presentation relating to important administrative issues, institutional assessment, and curriculum development.
"There will be a lot do and more to learn in a short period of time," said Tracy McNeal on behalf of Olivet's academic leadership. "The large turnout will give us an opportunity to make progress on a number of fronts in preparation for the start of classes this Fall."
