Olivet College of Art and Design (OCAD) is pleased to announce the opening a new computer lab to support students with digital artwork and design projects.
The lab is equipped with six Apple MacIntosh computers, in addition to industry printers and scanners, Wacom Tablets, and digital cameras.
The facilities are intended to support students working with heavier graphics for enhanced work quality.
All OCAD students will have access to the new lab, which provides space for students to do homework and collaborate on group projects. The lab also will be used for classes and seminars in web and publication design.
"Providing students convenient access to adequate tools is part of OCAD's mission to enhance students' learning experience and improve the quality of their work," said OCAD Administrator Heejung Park, who oversaw the development of the computer lab.
OCAD plans to expand the lab facilities with additional MacIntosh computers and digital projectors in the upcoming academic year.
