OU Orientation Opens Fall Semester 2008

September 18, 2008

Olivet University welcomes incoming students for the Fall 2008 semester during orientation this week.

The orientation is aimed at helping incoming students adjust to life at university. The program is also intended to help develop and maintain a sense of community.

Olivet University's orientation, which runs from September 3rd to September 4th, has programs for welcoming students to the university community. A team of advisors and mentors have also been available to answer questions about the university's programs and services, and to respond to student expectations and concerns.

The Student Association of Olivet University has been a highlight of this year's orientation, which gave a formal introduction to the students during the orientation

"As they gear up for university and become part of Olivet Community, new students are expected to participate in the student interaction through joining clubs and contacting the association committee members to get the sense of belonging." said Kelly Lim, assistant director in the Office of Student Affairs.

First-year and newly incoming students must attend orientation before they can attend classes, which begin on Sep.9th.
