With graduation days away, Jubilee College of Music (JCM) held its semester-end student piano recital. Seven students performed musical selections from both classical and contemporary genres in the University Chapel before a proud audience of parents, fellow students, faculty, and staff members.
The purpose of the recital, which is held at the end of each semester, is to nurture students’ developing musicianship in a setting which allows interaction with the University community. The recital was the culmination of an array of music activities last spring, including private lessons, undergraduate and master classes, music theory instruction, and elective courses in piano.
Music faculty involved with the recital included JCM Dean and Professor Dr. Merrill Smoak and Professor Jade Cho.
