Dr. Venter Lectures on Church Administration

September 15, 2009
Olivet is pleased to announce the start of a new intensive course outlining the theological foundations and principles of church dynamics MS750 Church Administration, taught by Olivet Theological College & Seminary faculty member Dr. Gerhard Venter.

The most recent addition to Olivet’s Master of Divinity program, MS750 seeks to sharpen students’ pastoral skills, many of whom are pursuing future careers as pastors and ministry leaders. Upon completion students will be better equipped as leaders, pastors, and missionaries to understand the nature, mission, organization and function of a local church in all of its dimensions and practices.

Dr. Venter has taught at Olivet University for several years in the area of theology. He is a former principal and professor at Cape Town Baptist Seminary in South Africa. His background also includes professional appointments at Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary in California and Gardner-Webb University in North Carolina. He is also passionate about church ministry and actively involved in teaching and pastoring roles in local church settings.
