The Jubilee College of Music (JCM) hosted its annual student piano recital last week at the University's Student Union in downtown San Francisco. The recital was open to the public as well as students, faculty, and family of the students who all joined to attend the performances.
The recital featured a variety of music genres including classical and baroque, traditional Spanish, ragtime, and contemporary music. Students were required to play new musical pieces they learned in the past year.
JCM faculty member Jade Cho expressed gratitude for the evening’s event. "I'm thankful that students are becoming more mature musicians. Each semester there’s been remarkable improvement in students’ technique and musical expression."
Following the performance, musicians and guests attended a reception for a time of fellowship and sharing reflections about the performances. The next JCM recital will be held at the end of spring semester.
