OCJ Students to Join DC Lecture Series

Graduate students from Olivet College of Journalism (OCJ) will learn journalism from the industry professionals this summer during a two-week lecture series in Washington D.C.

The lecture series will consists of intensive discussions and workshops designed to help Christian journalists refine their craft. Masters of Arts in Journalism student at OCJ will receive practical training on several journalism skills including investigative reporting, feature writing, reporting from a Christian worldview, vocal training for broadcast journalists and interview techniques for the religion beat.

Each lecture will be led one of several distinguished journalists from the Washington D.C. area. Speakers include a former Bureau Chief for TIME magazine, a veteran journalist with over 30 years of reporting experience in the D.C. area, a former T.V. host, and religions beat reporters who have written for publications like The Houston Chronicle, The Orlando Sentinel and Religion News Service.

The lectures will be held at the well-known National Press Building, which houses The National Press Club.
