Olivet University updated its general education (GE) curriculum in order to help students gain further insight in the traditions of art, ideas, and values. The general education are now grouped in new categories such as: Communication and Writing, Foreign Language, Humanities, Science and Empirical Reasoning, and Arts & Literature. Among these categories, students can take a variety of classes that introduces understanding of traditions in culture and topics in human societies.
The updated curriculum is both challenging to the life of our students' minds and responsive to their interests and needs but remains consistent with Olivet's previous general education program that mandate a set of requirements. Classes may now be cross exchanged into other categories. The changes were made to bring more academic opportunities to students active in courses and ministry.
