The WEA Leadership Institute of the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA) has launched its first course, Effective Public Engagement, in collaboration with its global partner, Olivet University.
Effective Public Engagement is one of the six courses in the leadership institute, which was officially found in 2008 with a mandate to strengthen National Evangelical Alliances by developing effective leaders. The 3-unit intensive course, developed by Dr. Chuck Stetson, will address the Biblical foundation, obstacles and barriers within and outside the Church, and the methodologies of effective public engagements.
Numerous members and affiliates of the WEA, along with a handful of Olivet students, have registered for the course and will be in training for the next 12 weeks. Those who complete all six courses and a final project will be granted a Certificate in Association Leadership from WEA, and Olivet students may use these credits as a concentration program within the Master of Divinity curriculum.
At the present time, these courses are exclusively online-based, which Olivet has provided compatible technology and resources to facilitate.
