Last week, representatives from Olivet University participated in the South Pacific Association of Evangelical Colleges (SPAEC) bi-annual conference in Sydney, Australia.
The conference brought together institutional representatives from the SPAEC constituents throughout Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific regions.
The event was hosted by the Sydney Missionary & Bible College (SMBC) and featured numerous speakers including SMBC’s principal Dr. David Cook.
The main speaker of the conference was Dr. Bob Mulholland, a former Vice President and current professor at Asbury Theological Seminary. Another speaker was former principal of Carey Baptist College in New Zealand and currently part John Stott’s organization Langham Partnership, Dr. Paul Windsor.
Both main speakers focused their talks on the conference’s theme which was community and spiritual formation.
Through the conference, Olivet representatives were able to interact with other South Pacific regional colleges as the University seeks to expand its already existing online presence in the region.
In addition, the University officials shared the school’s expertise in the area of education technology during a special workshop for conference participants.
