Jubilee Music Students Hold Holiday Praise Concert

June 20, 2012

Students of the Jubilee College of Music (JCM) participated in a Christmas Eve concert to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. The praise concert was held in the university’s theater and open to the public in addition to students and faculty.

The event was performed under the theme of John 3:16 – “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son” – and the program included arranged hymns and contemporary songs about the birth of Jesus Christ.

Jennifer Gwon, lead vocalist, shared her reflection after the concert. “We tried to focus more on the lyrics than the music itself,” she explained. “Our prayer and goal was to help people meditate on the meaning of Jesus’ birth and God’s love for us.

“I’m thankful that we were able to meet God more deeply through participating in this concert,” Gwon added.
