The Zinzendorf School of Doctoral Studies commenced its annual event earlier this week attended by an international lineup of faculty and students. The weeklong event brings together presentations on dissertations, examinations, lectures, and faculty meetings.
Co-presidents Dr. William Wagner and Dr. Joseph Ray Tallman presented the program in honoring Count Nicolaus L. von Zinzendorf, the father of the Moravian movement and early Pietist movement that added missions to the heart of Reformation evangelical theology.
Zinzendorf and his Herrnhut followers carried the Gospel to every continent of the world and likewise Olivet’s Doctoral program stands by those same model. In addition to students presenting dissertation papers, the event includes lectures from Dr. Donald Tinder, Dr. Chansamone Saiyasak, Dr. Bertil Ekstrom, Dr. Cleon Rogers, Dr. Mark Wagner, and Dr. Weanzane Nupanga. A series of research seminars instructed by Dr. Creighton Marlowe is scheduled to run concurrently.
