Olivet University graduated its largest class of Doctoral students at the 2014 Commencement Ceremony in San Francisco, CA. Graduates from the university's 7 colleges and 2 Doctoral programs were recognized by faculty, friends, and family with inspirational speeches, music, and applause.
A beautiful performance by the Jubilee College of Music, led by Dr. Merril Smoak, serenaded the evening with a musical devotional. Dr. Tracy Davis warmly welcomed the audience with her President's Greeting and she inaugurated new deans for Olivet’s two programs, the Zinzendorf School of Doctoral Studies and Olivet Theological College and Seminary during the Investiture ceremony.
Commencement speaker Dr. William Wagner, President of Zinzendorf School of Doctoral Studies PhD program offered an inspirational speech to fulfill God's mission in all areas of work. Christians can make a difference and influence through fields such as politics, media, education, and entertainment. Dr. Wagner described that God works through the insignificant and through that person can great change happen if it is His will.
Graduates were conferred their degrees as Olivet graduated its largest class of D.Min students alongside candidates from their 7 other colleges. The commencement was streamed live online along with a special video slideshow presentation of graduates who completed their academic program. Graduates, faculty, and guests were invited to attend a special reception following the ceremony.
