Jubilee College of Music (JCM) held its concert graduate student recital at Olivet University’s chapel last week. Students are required to perform a concert or complete writing their thesis papers to fulfill JCM’s graduation requirements.
JCM master student Mifa Kim, performed her original pieces at the school’s recital. Starting with well-known praise songs “Once Again” and “Above All,” Kim staged 13 songs in various styles. Three of them were self-written songs, two of which were played with Violin solos and one was sung in Korean.
"I was very nervous in the beginning,” shared Kim. However the Holy Spirit was pouring down during the concert and the congregation was moved with tears."
James Eliazer, a guitarist who is majoring in Olivet University’s M.div program, also participated in the recital and played solo parts from Chris Tomlin's "The Wonderful Cross" and Hillsong’s "This is Living Now."
