Olivet Business School (OBS) offered Human Resource Management course for the Spring quarter as part of the MBA curriculums.
Professor Yvette L. Smith delivered lectures at Olivet University’s San Francisco site for several weeks and students received abundant guidance through case studies and her personal working experiences. With intensive lectures, students are expected to learn the primary role of human resource professionals to manage today's organizations effectively, systematically and strategically.
The course explores human resource recruitment, selection, development, appraisal, retention, compensation, reward and performance system, training and development system, and equal employment opportunity. All students will be involved in team studies, presentations, written essays and round-table discussions.
Dr. Smith has been an Adjunct Professor at Golden Gate University, School of Business since 2007. She teaches undergraduate and graduate level course that combine theory and real-world practical experience which prepare students for professional careers in a broad range o business fields. Her career spans over 15 years in all areas of the Human Resource discipline.
