The Zinzendorf School of Doctoral Studies (ZSDS) held a consultation conference this month in Altenkirchen, Germany to discuss future expansions into Europe.
Faculty and students from United States, Europe and Africa attended this meeting for three days of strategic thinking and fellowship. The meeting agenda includes four academic presentations, updates of ZSDS development, and introduction for two new institutes related to the Doctoral Studies.
Led by Dr. Mark Wagner, faculty member of ZSDS, the consultation ended successful with discussions revolved around the need for official recognition of ZSDS and Olivet degrees. Strategies were also proposed to make progress with recruiting students in Europe. It was agreed upon that in the coming year, Dr. Mark Wagner would work with European based faculty members to secure the needed government recognition in developing the ZSDS presence in Europe.
During the meeting, faculty members Dr. William Wagner and Dr. Ray Tallman introduced the two new Olivet Institutes. Dr. Wagner stated that Oliver Institute of Global Strategic Studies has a chance to be a significant catalyst for creating a Macro Strategy for reaching the world for Christ. Dr. Ray Tallman also shared his vision for the Olivet Branch Institute for Islamic Studies.
Other faculty members, Dr. Cleon Rogers and Dr. Creig Marlowe, delivered two intriguing Old Testament presentations. D.min candidate, Peter Cockrell gave a successful defense for his dissertation and visits by key representatives from different German Seminaries, who came to learn more about the ZSDS's programs as well as the two institutes, highlighted the event.
ZSDS plans to hold another European consultation conference in 2016 to follow up executions and strategize on future projects.
