Olivet School of Art & Design, OSAD, plans to add a new course titled "User Experience" to its graphic design curriculum for the coming Fall quarter.
"It is important to understand and follow the trends of design industry, thus it is necessary to learn more about User Experience and User Interface, " said OSAD Faculty Diana Yoo.
"With the fast development of Information Technology and web-based innovations, OSAD is facing new challenges to keep up with the trends in the graphic design fields. We hope students possess deeper understanding and hone their basic skills after taking this course," she added.
OSAD also provides an opportunity for their students to join various International design events and conferences. In this way, students are able to meet industry professionals and famous designers who can help enrich their learning experience through workshops and seminars.
"I am very thankful to be studying at OSAD. All those courses such Usability and Typography expanded my knowledge and I gained deeper insights on the design field," said student William Lin. “The new user experience class will be helpful.”
OSAD has been dedicated to educating ministry-bound leaders, revolutionizing Christian mission through art and design by nurturing creativity, interdisciplinary collaboration, professionalism, conceptual development and technical skills.
