Jubilee School recently held a recording session in Nashville, Tennessee, where students picked up some audio engineering techniques.
“I learned about audio engineering before but this recording session taught me more advanced techniques,” said Gisang Yoo, a Jubilee School student.
Yoo, who is from South Korea, was joined by two other students from Argentina and Colombia. Aaron Reppert, an audio engineer at Jubilee School, led the two-day session while Yoo and Carolina Chaparro sang classic songs in English and Spanish. They were accompanied by pianist Leonardo Lorenzo.
“The recording process is very different in my country,” Yoo commented. “I realized the important role an audio engineer plays in worship.”
Following the session, Chaparro said she felt reinvigorated with passion to expand her music ministry.
Jubilee School is an extension of Jubilee College of Music.
