Olivet Business School recently invited distinguished senior media & marketing executive Darius Myers as a guest speaker for MBA leadership class at Olivet’s Manhattan campus.
Myers demonstrated different business models and delved into the challenges that start-up companies are facing today. He also explained current business ethics and working principles for modern companies.
Students learned hands-on problem solving and communication skills through various activities. MBA sophomore Beth Liu commented, “I was impressed by the case studies and role-play session."
The MBA leadership course focuses on leadership theories and practices that seek to explain how traits, behaviors and other factors may influence leadership style and effectiveness. It also explores how a leader can inspire the team to achieve company vision and mission statement.
Myers graduated from Kellogg School of Management. He has three decades of experience in the media and marketing industry. For the past seven years, he served as the Managing Partner of Sports Cart Media Consulting that worked with clients across the digital media spectrum including digital news, digital OOH, digital TV and digital venue entertainment.
