On April 17, 2018, Rev. Mitchell C. Hescox, President/CEO of Evangelical Environmental Network, gave a short lecture at Olivet University’s San Francisco campus on the importance of caring for God’s creation. More than 20 students and staff attended the lecture, which lasted about 1 hour.
Rev. Hescox gave a brief overview on the seriousness of pollution worldwide and introduced the mission of EEN, which is “to get involved in regions of the United States and the World impacted by pollution, and to advocate for actions and policies that honor God and protect the environment.”
After the lecture, Rev. Hescox had time to answer several questions from the audience. He introduced some simple practical things that students on campus can do right now to protect the environment.
The audience were grateful for this opportunity to get to know the topic and mission of the organization. They became more aware that caring for God’s creation is a biblical duty that Christians have.
