Olivet School of Arts and Design (OSAD) Associate Dean Professor Zimou Tan participated in the art competition-cum-exhibition organized by the Idyllwild Art Alliance and won the "Best of Show" award for his artwork.
The Art Alliance of Idyllwild is hosting its annual art event at the courtyard gallery in Idyllwild from August 10 to September 30.
The Art Alliance has been taking in artworks from "member artists" of the alliance for a competition-cum-exhibition. Member artists, including Professor Zimou Tan, displayed their best artwork for the competition.
On August 10, an artist reception "Celebrate" was organized by the Art Alliance to convene all artists for a get-together. Judi Bowes, the judge of the art competition, examined the displayed artworks at the exhibit.
Professor Zimou Tan's artwork, titled "Xia" won the Best of Show which was the topmost award in the competition.
"I was extremely impressed by Zimou's painting," said Bowes.
"I thank Idyllwild Art Alliance for hosting such a fantastic art event. I am greatly humbled to know that my painting won the Best of Show award. I am thankful to God for giving me and OSAD this honor," said Zimou Tan.
The show will be open until the end of September. For more information about the Idyllwild Art Alliance, visit https://artinidyllwild.wildapricot.org
