Olivet Theological College & Seminary (OTCS) welcomes a number of new students into its Master of Divinity (M.Div) and Bachelor of Arts in Theology (BATH) programs this Fall quarter.
The Bachelor of Arts in Theology program provides training in critical and applied biblical and theological studies. Students will study the Scripture in-depth from doctrinal and historical perspectives and prepare to live out the biblical calling of theological study in the context of missions. The program also features core curriculums in general studies and professional studies, with opportunities to apply classroom learning in practical ministry environments.
The Master of Divinity program aims to train the students as future pastors, missionaries, and ministers in the world of 21st-century Christian mission. It provides students with core biblical and theological instruction, leadership training, as well as the skills necessary to perform ministerial duties in the local church.
One of the new M.Div students said, "I am thankful to God and OTCS administration for giving me the opportunity to pursue the Master of Divinity course at Olivet. I wish to study the Bible in its historical context through various biblical courses, enhance my understanding of biblical principles to interpret contemporary moral. I also think social and spiritual issues are important to study and develop skills that will support ministries. Above all, I wish to grow in the likeness of Christ through various practical programs offered on campus."
Another BATH freshman shared: "I believe that my enrollment will allow me to achieve my current educational goals and help me establish new goals for the future. I look forward to establishing my faith in both my personal life and ministry. May the will of God be done through my life just as how we pray in the Lord's Prayer."
OTCS hopes that the seminary could be a vessel for equipping more workers for the kingdom of God.
