Olivet University has begun its Fall Sermon Series, a quarterly event that invites local Anza pastors to preach during the university’s Wednesday services. The event seeks to bring together college students and the broader Anza church community for evenings of worship, teaching, and fellowship. The public is welcome to attend each service, fostering unity among local believers.
On Wednesday evening, October 15, 2025, Olivet University hosted members of Living Hope Christian Fellowship for a joint service on campus. Praise and worship were led by Olivet students followed by a welcome given by University Chairman Dr. Nate Tran. The guest preacher, Pastor Kevin Watson, senior pastor of Living Hope Christian Fellowship, delivered a powerful message titled “The Power of One.” His sermon focused on the importance of unity and personal revival within the Christian faith.
Pastor Watson began by reflecting on Deuteronomy 6:4–5, reminding the audience of the profound truth that there is one God, even within the mystery of the Trinity. He then turned to John 17:20–23, highlighting Jesus’ prayer for unity among believers. Drawing from 1 Corinthians 12:12–13, Pastor Watson emphasized that the church, as one body, must stay focused on its shared mission and resist the forces that seek to divide. “A united kingdom will conquer,” he declared, urging believers to stand together in faith and love.
Throughout the message, Pastor Watson encouraged Christians to pursue spiritual renewal and to believe that “all things are possible” through Christ. Using biblical examples such as Joseph, Daniel, and Jesus, he illustrated how one faithful individual can transform lives and even nations.
“Personal revival happens before public revival,” he concluded, calling attendees to seek God earnestly and let unity begin in their own hearts.
The evening concluded in prayer, as Olivet University President Dr. Jonathan Park led a blessing for Pastor Watson and the Living Hope Christian Fellowship congregation. The gathering reflected a spirit of partnership and shared purpose between the university and the local church community.
